Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the conductive elastic member with which a desired electric conductivity and hardness are compatibly obtainable by forming electric conductivity imparting particles of whiskers having a three-dimentional structure.

CONSTITUTION: The electric conductivity imparting particles formed by compounding and dispersing the electric conductivity imparting particles with and in an elastic material 13a to impart the desired electric conductivity thereto are used as the whiskers 13b having the three-dimentional structure. Namely, zinc oxide (NzO) whiskers 13b having the three-dimentional structure has the three-dimensional tetrapod structure having plural leg parts or arm parts. The whiskers 13b having such three-dimentional structure are used as the electric conductivity imparting particles and are compounded and dispersed with an in the elastic material 13a, such as rubber, which has intrinsically insulating property to obtain the conductive elastic member provided with the desired electric conductivity (resistance value). The hardness of the elastic material, such as rubber, is thereby substantially lowered and the resistance value is lowered. The desired electric conductivity and the desired hardness are compatibly obtd. in this way.
