Abstract:

To provide a conductive fiber transplanted member and a conductive roller having a stable conductivity regardless of atmosphere including humidity and an applied voltage, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.

The conductive roller includes a core material 21, an elastic porous layer 23 covering the core material and adhering to the core material, and an electrically conductive fibers 4 which are planted onto the elastic porous layer via an adhesive layer 3 and which are covered by a conductive polymer (polypyrrole or the like). The adhesive layer contains a dopant that is capable of causing the conductive polymer to be electrically conductive. The method of manufacturing the conductive roller includes a film forming step for applying an adhesive containing a dopant that is capable of causing the conductive polymer to be electrically conductive on the elastic porous layer of the roller substrate that includes the core material and the elastic porous layer covering the core material and adhering to the core material, and for forming a film, and an electrostatic fiber plantation step for planting by an electrostatic force the conductive fiber covered by the conductive polymer (polypyrrole or the like) on the elastic porous layer on which the film has been formed.
