Abstract:

To obtain a tube or a roll having low compression set, excellent long-term dimensional stability and excellent resistance to environmental change and to obtain an electrophotographic apparatus capable of giving a high-quality image.

This tube is a conductive foamed ethylene/propylene copolymer rubber (EPDM) tube which has a volume resistivity (χ) of 102 to 1010Ω . cm in N/N (25°C/60% RH) environments, a relationship of -0.5<log(χ)-Log(χ')<0.5 (wherein χ' is the volume resistivity as measured in L/L (10 γ/15% RH) or H/H (35°C/85% RH) conditions), a specific gravity of 0.20 to 0.35, a mean diameter of the cells on an arbitrary cross section of 100-250μm, a water absorptivity of 5-90%, and a hardness (Asker hardness C) of 10-40°. A conductive foamed rubber roll prepared by inserting a core into the tube and a electrophotographic apparatus provided therewith are provided.
