To provide a novel conductive mixed liquid crystal composition, an ion transportation method using the same, a liquid crystal material containing the conductive mixed liquid crystal composition, and an ion transportation layer, a secondary battery, and a capacitor containing the liquid crystal material.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a conductive mixed liquid crystal composition that contains at least one liquid crystal compound represented by general formula (1), in which n is 1, X is an ion selected from the group consisting of Li, Na, and K, and at least one liquid crystal compound represented by general formula (1), in which n is 2 or 3, X is an ion selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Ba, Znand Al, or a conductive mixed liquid crystal composition that contains at least one liquid crystal compound represented by general formula (1), in which n is 2, X is Zn. [In the formula, R is an alkyl group or an alkoxy group. B is an alkylene group (the alkylene group may bind to A via an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom). A is an organic group containing a π electron conjugated system. L is an alkylene group (the alkylene group may bind to A via an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom). n is 1, 2, or 3.
