To provide an electrically conductive polymer material that renders an organic EL element having a positive hole pouring layer formed by using the material excellent in performance of the element such as lifetime or the like.
The electrically conductive polymer material is produced, which has no peak present in the range of time after the elution time (t) corresponding to 5,000 molecular weight expressed in terms of a polystyrene sulfonic acid in a chromatogram obtained by subjecting the material to the measurement by size exclusion chromatography using an ultraviolet detector set at a detection wavelength of 254 nm. The electrically conductive polymer material is produced, which satisfies the relationship: (At/A)×100≤8 in the case where the total of the area corresponding to the solutes in the full range of time in the chromatogram is designated by A and the total of the area corresponding to the solutes in the range of time after the elution time (t) corresponding to 5,000 molecular weight is designated by At in the chromatogram obtained by subjecting the material to the measurement by size exclusion chromatography using the ultraviolet detector set at a detection wavelength of 254 nm.
