To maintain a shoe shape by covering the ankle with a first instep cover cloth for which the surface cloth of carbon fiber woven fabric is piled up on bulky core material cloth for which a specified interval is formed by a thread for forming the interval.

The first instep cover cloth 4 constitutes the part to a position for covering the ankle at least near the ankle of an instep strap 3. For the cloth 4, the surface cloth 6 for constituting an instep cover outer surface is stuck to the surface cloth 5a of the core material cloth 5 composed of the surface cloth 5a, back surface cloth 5b and the thread 5c for forming the interval for forming them in a prescribed interval. That is, for the core material cloth 5 of the first instep cover cloth 4, all the threads are composed of synthetic fibers, the thread 5c for forming the interval of 1.0-5.0mm is hung between the surface cloth 5a and the back surface cloth 5b respectively knitted in a net shape while constituting respective parts of the cloths 5a and 5b and bulkiness is provided. Nylon yarn or Teflon (R) yarn is used for the synthetic fiber of the core material cloth 5 and the one of 60-240 deniers is used for the yarn 5c for forming the interval. Thus, the shoe shape is maintained and the service life of this shoe is prolonged.
