To provide a method for manufacturing a highly-durable conductive yarn, which enables the yarn to be produced with fewer steps and a higher productivity, to have a high conductivity and a sufficient antistatic performance as well as maintain the sufficient antistatic performance even after a durability test under circumstances where a voltage is applied, and to be dyed for color expression.
The method for manufacturing a highly-durable conductive yarn includes a deposition step of depositing an aqueous treatment liquid including a dopant, an oxidizing agent, a binder resin and a cross-linking agent on at least a surface of a yarn, and a polymerization step of bringing the yarn having the aqueous treatment liquid deposited thereon into contact with a pyrrole monomer in a state of gas phase to produce a conductive yarn having at least a part of the surface of the yarn coated with polypyrrole.
