In this conference system equipped with a plurality of conference terminal and a server device communicatively connected through a network to each other, the server device generates conference participating state information based on at least one of invitation information and presence/absence information, and stores conference organization information including hierarchy information for forming a plurality of hierarchies about each participating member and conference participating state information, and for transmitting the conference organization information to each conference terminal, and each conference terminal is configured to transmit the presence/absence information of a participating member who participates in a conference through the conference terminal to the server device, and to hierarchically display it based on the hierarchy information included in the received conference organization information, and to transmit display data for displaying the conference participating state.
