Abstract:

To record a nozzle check pattern in a short time without necessity to reset paper, when the nozzle check pattern is recorded again.

First, a confirmatory recording is executed (S104) according to a prompt(S103) to execute the confirmatory recording, and a recordable medium (P1) is moved downstream in the conveyance direction, by a roller pair for discharge 20, upto a position (R) where a user can visually recognize a spot (Q1) where the confirmatory recording is already executed in the recordable medium (P1), and then stopped (S105). After that, the recordable medium (P1) is sent back upstream in the conveyance direction (S121) by the roller pair 20 in the way that the recordable medium (P1) is inserted in the roller pair 20, according to a prompt (S111) to execute the confirmatory recording anew after confirmation, and then, is stopped in a different position from the previous stop position to execute the confirmatory recording (Q2) anew (S104).
