Abstract:
To accurately determine a congestion degree by using a link average speed based on probe information.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a device for determining a congestion degree of a link corresponding to a road. The device comprises: a communication unit for receiving probe information from a probe vehicle; and an information processing unit which calculates a link average speed of the probe vehicle by using the received probe information and compares the calculated link average speed with a speed threshold, thereby determining a congestion degree of a link corresponding to a road that the probe vehicle passed. The speed threshold used by the information processing unit consists of a speed threshold Ths calculated by a following calculation formula of Ths=3.6×L/{TS+3.6×L/VS}, wherein L(m) is a link length, TS (second) are stop factor terms (seconds) generated until the probe vehicle passes the link, and VS(km/h) is a speed that is estimated when a vehicle passes on the road.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
