To provide a conical dryer capable of easily crushing a spherical lump generated at an initial stage of drying by providing a crushing means of a simple structure, and improving a drying efficiency by preventing a generation of a damage or a noise of the dryer or a drying unevenness.

The conical dryer comprises a polygonal container body supported by a rotary shaft at an axial center of right and left side faces, a hollow suction tube projected from a hollow rotary shaft side in the body, a suction means connected to the tube, and a container rotary driver connected to the shaft. The dryer further comprises a charging and discharging port of a material to be treated provided a one end side of the body in a vertical direction, and the crushing means of the material provided at the other opposite end side.
