PURPOSE: To provide a titled conical roll made capable of preventing the generation of spiral mark of a material to be rolled, by forming the connecting part of a rolling zone and a correcting zone of a conical roll into a smoothly curved surface, and forming the correcting zone into a concave cross section having a proper radius of curvature.
CONSTITUTION: A planetary-type skew rolling mill rolls a material 1 to be rolled through drawing work by rotating and revolving at least three conical rolls 2 arranged around the material 1 at equal angle intervals; the roll 2 is formed into a continuous circular-truncated cone constituted of a rolling zone 3 and a correcting zone 4 having different inclination angles respectively, and the zone 4 is formed to have a concave crosssectional shape, which has a radius of curvature R larger than that of a concave cross section obtained geometrically by assuming that the circular truncated cone is made to contact with the cylindrical material 1 to be rolled, or prefarably has a R of ≥1.5 the geometrically obtained radius of curvature. Thus a remaining mark of the material 1 is made to be a practically negrigible degree.
