Abstract:

To obtain a conjugate crimped fiber capable of being used for knit and woven fabrics which are the most suitable to specially formal wears having new and high quality feeling excellent in comfortability for wearing with extraordinary development of a black color and plenty of swelling and having fine and soft touches, and a knit and woven fabric.

This conjugate crimped fiber consists of a crimped conjugate multifilament as a core yarn and a crimped multifilament having 5-35% longer fiber length than that of the core yarn as a sheath yarn. The physical properties of the crimped multifilament constituting the sheath yarn are 2-5% shrinkage in boiling water. 60-100% elongation and the physical properties of the conjugate crimped yarn are 5-10% shrinkage in boiling water, 7-48% shrinkage at drying and 20-40% crimp recovery CR.
