Abstract:

To provide a conjugate fiber having good dispersibility, a high tenacity, excellent dimensional stability and giving a soft wet type non-woven fabric having a good weave, and to provide the wet type non-woven fabric.

This conjugate fiber comprises a core component comprising a polyester and a sheath component comprising a polyolefin, and has a composite ratio (weight ratio) of the core component to the sheath component in a range of 20/80 to 80/20, a single fiber fineness of 0.3-6 denier and a dry heat shrinkage factor of ≤5% in a fiber length of ≥25 mm and at a temperature of 120°C. The non-woven fabric comprises 30-100 wt.% of the conjugate fibers and 70-0 wt.% of polyester fibers.
