To efficiently produce a polyvinylidene fluoride-based conjugate monofilament having excellent impact strength and especially suitable for the use of fishery materials and various industrial materials.
This conjugate monofilament comprises at least two layers structure of core part and sheath part in which every layers are constituted of polyvinylidene fluoride-based resins having ≤6.0 MFR (at 230°C, under 10 kg), and a melting point of the core part polymer is ≥150°C and a melting point of the sheath part polymer is 5-30°C higher than the melting point of the core part polymer. The conjugate monofilament is produced by performing the final drawing process at a temperature Te satisfying the formula: (Tc-5°C)<Te≤(Ts+20°C) {Te is drawing temperature (°C), Tc is melting point of the core part polymer (°C), Ts is melting point of the sheath part (°C)} in a method for subjecting at least two kinds of polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin to melt spinning and cooling and subsequently to drawing at one stage or multistage to the total draw ratio of ≥5.5 times, by using conjugate spinning equipment.
