PURPOSE: To provide a conjugate spun yarn consisting of long and short fibers, having high yarn evenness, excellent abrasion resistance, high covering property, binding property and bulkiness and excellent feeling and enabling the selection of the blending ratio of the long and short fibers and the denier of the spun yarn over wide ranges.

CONSTITUTION: This conjugate spun yarn is produced by uniting plural filament yarns and short fiber bundles having boiling water shrinkage difference of 5-17% and twisting the united yarn. The short fiber bundle is partly mixed in the gap of the filament yarns and spirally twisted with the filament yarns.
