Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new conjugate molecule having a synthetic peptide corresponding to terminal part of an outer membrane protein P2 of Hemophilus influenzae b type virus and a carrier protein and useful for vaccine, etc., to the influenza virus.
SOLUTION: This new conjugate molecule has a synthetic peptide and a carrier protein and the synthetic peptide has amino acid sequence such as amino acid sequences in which formula I (corresponding to N terminal region derived from 1H strain, 2L strain and 6U strain) formula II (corresponding to C terminal region derived from 1H strain and 2L strain), formula III (corresponding to C terminal region derived from 6U strain) corresponding to N terminal part or C terminal part of outer membrane protein P2 of 1H strain, 2L strain and 6U strain of and a part of these amino acid sequence is varied within the range in which function as the epitope is not impaired and is useful as an active ingredient, etc., of vaccine to Hemophilus influenzae b type virus.
