Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain conjugate yarn for woven or knit fabric having high softness and bulkiness and moderate stretchability and drapeability by entangling a specific spontaneously elongating polyester multifilament and a specific false- twisted polyester conjugate yarn.
CONSTITUTION: This false-twisted conjugate yarn is composed of two or more kinds of polyester multifilaments consisting of a spontaneously elongating polyester multifilament having a single fiber fineness of ≤3 de, a filament number of ≥5, a hot-water shrinkage of ≥-2%, a dry-heat shrinkage of ≤0% at 160°C and a breaking elongation of ≥50% and a polyester multifilament having different elongation at break. The yarn is an alternately twisted yarn containing the high-elongation yarn wound around the low-elongation yarn and having a hot-water shrinkage of ≥0% and a 160°C dry-heat shrinkage higher than that of the spontaneously elongating yarn by ≥5%. The spontaneously elongating yarn and the false-twisted conjugate yarn are aligned at a blending ratio of the false-twisted yarn of 30-70% in terms of denier ratio and supplied to an air jet nozzle to effect the entanglement and obtain a conjugate yarn having an entanglement degree of 20-100/m.
