PURPOSE: To drive a connected car back and forth by installing an operation part including a perfect steering mechanism and a reversing mechanism for a driving axle onto the front and rear cars.

CONSTITUTION: A connected car 1 not only travels with a front car 2 and a rear car 3 in connection but also travels with only the front car 2 after cutting-off the rear car 3. Each steering mechanism 16 is installed onto the front car 2 equipped with an engine 12 and onto the rear car not equipped with an engine, and also each operation part 17 including the steering mechanism is installed onto the both cars. A transmission 13 is equipped with a reversal mechanism RV for reversing the direction of revolution of a driving axle at all the speed change positions, and the operation parts 17F and 17R are equipped with travel switching apparatuses SF and SR for selecting one direction of revolution by controlling the reversing mechanism RV.
