PURPOSE: To secure sufficient space within a disk wheel while increasing the strength of a welded part by limiting said welded part within a definite position, in a welding construction of a rim and a disk.
CONSTITUTION: A welded part 12 that joins a rim 10 to a disk 11 in an integrated form constitutes the joint construction. The welded part 12 is formed so that it includes the boundary 13 between the curved part 10a and the parallel part 10b of the drop well of the rim 10, while it covers both said curved part 10a and a part of said parallel part 10b. The end part 12a of the welded part on the rim side is positioned on said parallel part 10b. Thereby the angle of aperture can be increased and the stress concentration generated on said end part 12a on a durability test can be reduced, improving the durability of the welded part 12. Also a sufficient space is secured within the disk wheel preventing interference between it and a brake caliper 15.
