PURPOSE: To provide a connecting device for a band-shaped sheet wherein the band-shaped sheet can be automatically connected to enable productivity of a production line to improve without stopping the production line.

CONSTITUTION: A band-shaped sheet 8 is drawn out onto a guide means 11 from one reel 6 of a pair of reels 6, 7 to hold a point end of a band-shaped sheet 9, drawn out from the other reel 7, by a holding means 25, and when the band-shaped sheet 8 wound on the reel 6 is detected emptied by detecting means 27, 28, the holding means 25 is forcibly pressed onto the guide means 11 by an air cylinder 13, serving as a drive means, to adhesively connect the band-shaped sheets 8, 9.
