Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety and reliability by detecting distortion due to a longitudinal load so that brake control eliminating a thrust feeling can be made, in a connecting device for connecting a trailer to a semi-tractor.
SOLUTION: In a device fixedly mounting a coupler bracket in a semi-tractor S, fixedly connecting a coupler base to a trailer T through a king pin, displaceably connecting these coupler base and coupler bracket, and connecting the trailer T relating to the semi-tractor S, a strain gage is provided, which is mounted in the coupler bracket to detect distortion due to a longitudinal load generated between the semi-tractor S and the trailer T during running.
