PURPOSE: To always absorb satisfactorily vibration irrespective of displacement of a piston rod of a shock absorber while restraining deviation of the shock absorber by mounting the piston rod of the shock absorber on a car body through a self-aligning bearing and an elastic body.

CONSTITUTION: A piston rod 1 of a shock absorber is secured fixedly on the upper end to an inner ring 2a of a spherical bearing 2 by a washer 4 and a nut 3, and an outer ring 2b of a spherical bearing 2 is mounted on a tubular collar 5. An elastic body 7 like rubber is provided by vulcanization, press, etc. between the outer peripheral surface of this tubular collar 5 and the inner peripheral surface of a tubular support 6a of a car body 6. Thus, when the piston rod 1 swings left and right, the inner ring 2a swings relative to the outer ring so that the elastic body 7 is not deformed. Also, when the piston rod 1 is rotated, the rod 1 rotates to the inner ring 2a or the inner ring 2a integral with the rod 1 rotates to the outer ring 2b so that the elastic body 7 is not deformed.
