This connecting fitting 11 for use includes an abutting plate 12 which has a bent portion 20 and which is brought into contact with the two lateral surfaces of the column 41, and an insertion plate 17 which is elongated in the opposite direction of the abutting plate 12 from the bent portion 20 and inserted into a vertical groove 33 worked on the end surface of the ridge beam 31; the abutting plate 12 is provided with a mounting hole 15 for driving a nail 48; and the insertion plate 17 is provided with a pin hole 18 for inserting a fixing pin 38 therein. After the abutting plate 12 of the connecting fitting 11 is fixed to the column 41 with the nail 48, the ridge beam 31 is fixed to the insertion plate 17. This enables the ridge beam 31 to be fastened to the column 41 in the state of having the predetermined intersection angle.
