To provide a connecting hardware and a reinforcing structure of a building for ensuring aseismatic reinforcement of an existing building without impairing appearance, simplifying repair work and applicable also to reinforcement of a new building.
One side of a pipe member is pressed by a press to form a plate-like part 3, and the other side is made a cylindrical part 10 while shifting an axis to form a bent part 20 in between. A plurality of through holes 6, 6 are bored in the plate-like part 3, and the tip of the cylindrical part 10 is enlarged to form a diameter enlarged part 13. Thread is formed on an inner surface 12 to form a threaded cylindrical part 10, thus forming the connecting hardware 1. A hold-down hardware 40 is fixed to a side face 27 of a foundation 25 of the existing building, and the connecting hardware 1 is fixed to a column 32 and a sill 30 from an external wall material 35 of the existing building. A hexagon head bolt 46 loosely inserted into a bolt insertion part 42 of the hold-down hardware 40 is screwed and bound to the threaded cylindrical part 10 to constitute an aseismatic reinforcing structure 50.
