To provide a connecting joint of a sprinkler head capable of preventing the generation of dead water without causing a drop of water pressure, and to provide a sprinkler system.
Clean water flowing into a first water supply pipe 14A flows into a swirl chamber 30 along the internal wall 30A thereof through a lead-in pipe 32. The clean water flowing in along the internal wall 30A of the swirl chamber 30 swirls downward from the upper part along the circular internal wall 30A. The clean water reaching the lower part while swirling in the swirl chamber 30 flows into a discharge pipe 34 from the lower end of a vertical pipe part 34A arranged on the center side. The clean water flowing into the discharge pipe 34 flows through the vertical pipe part 34A and a horizontal pipe part 34B and is discharged to a second water supply pipe 14B. The clean water in the swirl chamber 30 is thus discharged while swirling to prevent the generation of dead water, that is, the stagnation of the clean water in the connecting joint 16 for a long period of time, without causing the drop of water pressure.
