To provide a connecting metal fitting for timber having one-sheet supporting structure boring bolt holes in a center position capable of using both metal fittings through common precut holes by machining so as to enable a joint section to selectively engage even in the case of one sheet supporting plate section or two sheets supporting plate sections.
One plate is cut to form a folding cut edge 4, and the supporting plate section 6 is formed by bending at an approximately 90° to a mounting plate section 5 through the cut edge 4. The bolt holes 9 abutting on one building timber 1 and inserting connecting bolts 8 penetrated through bolt through-holes 7 bored in one building timber 1 are bored in the mounting plate section 5. A joint connecting section 10 connected to the joint section 2 made on the other building timber 3 is provided to the supporting plate section 6 formed in a bent state. A position of the cut edge 4 is set so that the longitudinal direction of a bent edge 11 of the bent base section of the supporting plate section 6 can be located at the central part of the mounting plate section 5. The bolts holes 9 are arranged in the central part of the mounting plate section 5 approximately coinciding with the longitudinal direction of the bent edge 11.
