Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a method for connecting a lead without using solder to be continuously processed on a lead frame.
CONSTITUTION: Tongue pieces 14 sharpened at its end are formed at part of a terminal 12 of a lead frame 10, electrodes 40 are respectively opposed to the pieces 14 in which leads 32 of a coil 30 are wound, a high voltage is applied to the electrodes 40 to discharge to the pieces 14 thereby to melt the ends of the pieces 14 to weld the leads 32 to the pieces 14. Thus, excellent connecting states are obtained to simplify the steps of connecting the leads, to easily automate it and to improve productivity.
