Title:
CONNECTING PART BETWEEN FIBER FABRIC LIKE MATERIALS, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5813772
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
Two textile structures are bonded at their end regions, so as to be tension-resistant, heat-resistant, chemical-resistant and flexible, to form a web material. The bonding is achieved by adhesively bonding or welding one flat structure directly to the other or to a bonding element which is sewn or welded onto the other flat structure. In order to protect the adhesive bonding point or weld point against the effects of heat, at least from one side, at least one of the surfaces of the web material has a special heat-reflective or heat-absorbent protective layer in the region of the adhesive-bonding or weld point, covering the latter. A process for producing one embodiment of such a web material consists in sewing one fabric end (2) onto a strip of a heat-sealable bonding element (3) and heat-sealing this strip through a thread system (1) to a counter-strip (4) which has the protective layer, and cutting off the fabric-side thread system. A device for carrying out this process has two holding devices located opposite one another, one being intended for the counter-strip and the other for the connecting strip with the sewn-on fabric. A set of welding heads, which are located opposite one another and can be moved towards each other, is located beneath the holding devices. A cutting device is located beneath the welding heads and a clamping device for the thread system guided between the opposing holding devices and welding heads is located above said holding devices.
