The titanium alloy split type connecting rod comprises a rod body part 10 and an large end part 30 provided at one end of the rod body part 10. The large end part 30 is cut and split into a rod portion 33 connected to one end of the rod body part 10 and a cap portion 34 to be joined to the rod portion 33. The rod portion 33 and the cap portion 34 each have a cut surface F in protruded/recessed shape. A difference in height between the highest portion and the lowest portion of the cut surface F is 230 μm or greater.
