Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting rod and an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A connecting rod [10] includes a large end bearing eye [11] for fixing the connecting rod [10] to a crank shaft, a small end bearing eye [12] for fixing the connecting rod [10] to a piston of a cylinder and an eccentric adjustment device [13] for adjusting an effective length of the connecting rod. The eccentric adjustment device [13] has eccentric rods [15, 16]. Each of the eccentric rods [15, 16] is set that a connecting pin [36] at each of the eccentric rods [15, 16] is engaged with eccentric levers [14] of the eccentric adjustment device [13] so as to pass through eccentric levers [14] and opened holes of each of the eccentric rods [15, 16]. Portions passing through open holes [37] of each of the eccentric rods [15, 16] in which each of the connecting pins [36] passes and/or through open holes [37] of each of the eccentric rods [15, 16] of each of the connecting pins [36] have at least partially an arch-shaped contour.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3a
