Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce a manufacturing cost by sandwiching pieces between a connecting rod main body and a large-diameter cap, and then simultaneously forming hard films on both sides of a number of pieces.
CONSTITUTION: Pieces 5 are sandwiched between a main body 1 of a connecting rod and a large-diameter cap 2 at their both ends. Hard films 8 are formed on both sides of the pieces 5. The hard films 8 are in sliding contact with a sliding surface of a crank. The connecting rod main body 1 and the large- diameter cap 2 are made of titanium allay.
