Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a connecting rod made of a resin, having sufficient strength while exhibiting merit of a resin.
CONSTITUTION: A resin connecting rod comprising a resin rod-like portion 1, resin cylindrical portions 2 formed integrally at both ends of the rod-like portion 1, and elastic bodies 3 housed inside the cylindrical portions 2 are formed into an asymmetrical shape when being divided into right and left parts along the axial lines of the cylindrical portions 2 in such a manner as to provide approximately the same right and left cross-sectional areas of the rod-like portion 1 located perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the rod-like portion 1 in the cross section. The cross section of one of the cross-sectional parts is formed into a shape of low fluid resistance of a resin material while the cross section of the other is formed into a shape of high fluid resistance.
