PURPOSE: To provide a connecting rod which can prevent a noise emitted from the connecting rod at departing-stopping time of its work locomotive and can absorb impact between both and can prevent fatigue of a connecting part in the connecting rod to connect its driving side work locomotive and a second work vehicle having no braking device to each other.
CONSTITUTION: In a connecting rod main body 3, a long and narrow first member 1 is fitted to and installed on a second member 2 so as to be freely slidable in its shaft direction, and a pair of universal joints 4 are arranged in both end parts of its main body 3. A pair of brackets 5 are arranged on both ends of the main body 3, and these are respectively installed on a rolling stock so as to be freely mountable and demountable. Since an impact absorbing elastic body 6 is interposed between the first member 1 and the second member 2, both members become elastic and repulsive in both directions of the axis.
