Abstract:

To guarantee smooth operation of an engine, by securing high circularity of a crank pin hole.

A rupture dividing tool is fitted in the crank pin hole of a connecting rod, and a rupture load is applied in the connecting rod longitudinal direction via this rupture dividing tool, and a large end part of the connecting rod is ruptured. A mandrel 10 being the rupture dividing tool is dividedly constituted into four parts so as to be respectively separable in its orthogonal direction to the connecting rod longitudinal direction (10A, 10B, 10C and 10D), and is formed so that its rupture part can contact with a predetermined part of the rupture dividing tool when the large end ruptures.
