Title:
CONNECTING ROD SUPPORT STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010203578
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To discharge a foreign matter to the outside without moving the foreign matter to a sliding-contact face between a crank pin 1b and the other set of sliding bearings 8 even if the foreign matter intrudes into a sliding contact face between the crank pin 1b and one set of sliding bearings 7 together with oil in a structure in which two connecting rods 5, 6 are supported to the crank pin 1b of a crankshaft 1 of a V-type engine to be axially adjacent to each other, and the sliding bearings 7, 8 respectively split into two parts are respectively interposed between two connecting rods 5, 6 and the crank pin 1b.

Each of the chamfered part 7c, 7d, 8c, 8b is provided at each corner part on the inner-diameter side of each circumferential mating face in the axial whole length in each pair of semi-cylindrical members 7a, 7b and 8a, 8d respectively constituting each sliding bearing 7, 8. Each radial width of each chamfered part 7c, 7d, 8c, and 8d is set so as to be gradually increased toward the axial outside from each mating part of two pairs of sliding bearings 7, 8 adjacent to each other.
