The connecting rod made of a resin is provided with a rod body 2, an annular mounting hole part 4, which is provided to one end of the rod body and in which a circular mounting hole 10 capable of mounting a prescribed rolling bearing 8 is formed, and a connection part 6 provided to the other end of the rod body. A reinforcing member 12 made of a resin is provided in the vicinity F of the boundary of the mounting hole part on one end side of the rod body and the rod body. In this case, one or a plurality of the reinforcing members can be respectively provided to right and left symmetrical positions across the rod body in the vicinity of the boundary of the mounting hole part and the rod body being one end side of the rod body. Concretely, the reinforcing member is provided over the region where at least the maximum stress in the stresses, which occur when the load is applied to the connecting rod, occurs.
