Abstract:
To provide a connecting rod which is obliquely divided into a rod body and a cap at a large end part and inhibits wear on a divided surface and side slip of the rod body relative to the cap.SOLUTION: A connecting rod 101 according to the invention includes: flat joint planes 23, 33 which are formed in at least one of two contact parts where a rod body 20 and a cap 30 contact; first restriction parts which restrict side slip of the rod body 20 relative to the cap 30 in a first direction with a single set of first facing surfaces 22b, 32b provided between the rod body 20 and the cap 30; and second restriction parts which restrict side slip of the rod body 20 relative to the cap 30 in a second direction opposite to the first direction with a single set of second facing surfaces 22c, 32c provided between the rod body 20 and the cap 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
