Abstract:
To provide a connecting rod capable of suppressing an unexpected change in length by holding the axial length of the connecting rod with a mechanical locking mechanism.SOLUTION: A connecting rod includes: a crank-side connection member 13 connected to a crankshaft; a piston-side connection member 12 that is connected to a piston and movable relative to the crank-side connection member in a movement direction of the piston; and a lock mechanism 20 that is provided between the piston-side connection member and the crank-side connection member, and mechanically locks, with a piston-side lock member 21 and a crank-side lock member 22, relative movement between the piston-side connection member and the crank-side connection member at two positions of both connection members at the time when the relative movement is stretched and at the time when the relative movement is shortened.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
