To provide a connecting staple connecting with paper staples which can prevent a deterioration in the adhesion of bonding part for pasting together both leg parts, and a staple cartridge for housing the connecting staples.

The connecting staples 1a are constituted by connecting a plurality of staples 2a each having a slender and straight shape. The rear face in the neighborhood of both longitudinal ends of each staple 2a, is provided with bonding parts 31 coated with adhesive. Further, the predetermined positions from both ends of a side, to which each staple 2a is connected, is provided with elliptic feed holes 32. The portion between the two feed holes 32 is thoroughly cut off from each staple 2a as a slit part. Furthermore, under its storage, the connecting staple 1a is wound by being mounted on a sheet of releasing paper 30 by a predetermined length from its end, and loaded in a stapler.
