Abstract:
PURPOSE: To connect belt-like members without forming any step to cause a certain trouble against a processing stage by a method wherein the surface of the connecting piece is provided with an adhesive layer covered by a peeling-off piece divided into two forward or rearward segments, its rear surface is provided with double-surface adhering layers, a leading end of a taking-up roll and its outer surface are adhered to each other.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided a connecting piece 1 having at one surface an adhering layer 3 for use in connecting a trailing end of an old belt-like material with a leading end of a new belt-like material taking-up roll and then a part of the adhering layer 3 is connected to the leading end of the new belt-like material taking-up roll. At this connecting structure, the surface of the connecting piece 2 is provided with the adhering layer 3 covered by the peeling-off pieces 4, 5 divided into two forward or rearward segments, its rear surface is provided with at least one double-surface adhering layer or an adhering piece 7 arranged in a row or a spot-like manner, and then the leading end of the taking-up roll and its outer surface are adhered to each other with the adhering layers at these both surfaces or adhering pieces. As a result, the belt-like material connecting process is carried out in such a way that a step to cause a certain trouble in the processing stage is not formed.
