To provide the connecting structure for furniture and a partition, by which furniture can be connected regardless of the difference of the kinds and sizes of furniture as the opposite party and the place of the connection can be selected and changed freely in the horizontal direction and which can cope with the change of the size of the partition instantaneously and easily when the size of the partition to be connected to the furniture is changed and can be used as the partition even by itself when the partition is not connected to the furniture.

The connecting structure of the furniture and the partition is formed so that approximately horizontal sideways recessed grooves 6 and 7 are formed extensively over the approximately overall width of the partition P at a proper height of the external surface of the partition P formed of a panel body while the partition P is connected onto the side face of the furniture F by forming a connecting member 12 with a pawl section 12a engaged with the recessed grooves 6 or 7 and a mounting surface 12b mounted on the side face of the furniture F at a site corresponding to the recessed grooves 6 or 7 of the partition P.
