Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give an extending and contracting function to a connecting part, by compressing a seal member housed in a seal member housing groove which is formed at the end of a sleeve, on the outer peripheral surface of an inserted propelling pipe, and making the lock ring of the propelling pipe engaged to a projection near the seal member housing groove.
SOLUTION: To a starting shaft 12 of a manhole structure, a concrete wall 13 is placed, and a sheath pipe 22 is inserted to the hole 17 of the wall 13. The sand and earth between the sheath 22 and a propelling pipe 15 is removed, and a circular space 24 is formed, where a sleeve 25 is inserted. The end of the sleeve 25 positioning at the inner part of the circular space 24 is formed in a convergent form, a seal housing groove 33 is formed, and a circular seal member 34 is housed. The seal member 34 is compressed between the outer peripheral surface of the propelling pipe 15 and the housing groove 33, so as to seal between the propelling pipe 15 and the sleeve 25. And, a circular projection 35 provided to the housing groove 33 at the end side of the propelling pipe 15, and a lock ring 20 provided to the end of the propelling pipe 15 are engaged so as to function as a removal preventive means.
