PURPOSE: To ensure connection by a simple structure and to prevent damaging on a SQUID chip by putting a lead-out wire of a pickup coil on a lead-out pad of an input coil and by pressing it by a flexible pressing plate.
CONSTITUTION: A lead-out wire 3 of a pickup coil is put on a lead-out pad 2 of a SQUID chip 1 and, moreover, a pressing plate 4 formed of a superconductive and soft metal such as a lead metal is put on the wire. Next, a pressing means 14 made up of holding members 12 and a pressuring plate 13 which are formed of a nonmagnetic material is disposed on the pressing plate 4 and the pressurizing plate 13 is laid on the members 12 located on the opposite sides of the chip 1. Then, they are fastened by screws 15 so that the lead-out wire 3 be pressed on the pad 2 by an appropriate pressure. By this method, the reliability of connection can be increased by a simple structure and the damage on the chip 1 can be prevented.
