To provide a connecting structure of a wiper arm capable of preventing damage to each part of wiper arm and wiper motor by excessive external force applied to the wiper arm, and provide a wiper device.
In this wiper device 10, a clutch device 14 is provided between a pivot shaft 12 reciprocatively rotated by driving force of the wiper motor and the wiper arm 16 connected to the pivot shaft 12. The clutch device 14 transmits driving force of the pivot shaft 12 to the wiper arm 16 in a normal using state. When the excessive external force is applied to the wiper arm 16 and rotation transmission force (rotation torque) having more than a prescribed value is applied between the pivot shaft 12 and the wiper arm 16, the clutch device 14 separates transmission of the driving force between the wiper arm 16 and the pivot shaft 12 to relatively idle the wiper arm 16 and the pivot shaft 12.
