PURPOSE: To obtain the connection confirmation device for a digital telephone set in which the line connection is simply confirmed.
CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a line termination section 14 connected to a station via a transmission line termination section, a communication control section 33 for communication control connecting to the line termination section 14, a CODEC 35 for signal conversion connecting similarly to the line termination section 14, a sound source 40, a switch 41 receiving outputs of the CODEC 35 and the sound source 40 and selecting either of them based on a control output from the communication control section 33 and a handset 30 connecting to the switch 41. When the communication control section 33 recognizes a fault of line connection, the switch 41 is thrown to the position of the sound source 40 to send a sound from the sound source 40 to the handset 30.
