A connection device 1 is provided for connecting the side face cable to at least one connection chain member 7 connecting the tread net of the slip preventing chain and the side face cable, and a duct 13 for housing a side face cable portion is passed through each connection device. A chain link of tip of the connection chain member 7 or another connection element 9 is attached, held in an opening 14 arranged in a lateral side of the duct 13. The opening 14 has a U-shape, and its inner side is formed by a cock 15 formed integrally with the connection device. Further, the U-shaped opening 14 may have a shape corresponding to a shape of the connection element 9 to be attached inside, and tilting of a side face of the connection element in the opening is prevented by the shape.
