Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection member for a plastic pipe which has small number of components by providing an annular groove having the annular appearance and fitting a tooth of a C type ring provided with a plurality of teeth extended from one end side thereof in the direction in which they separate from an annular wall toward an end part on a joint body side. SOLUTION: To connect a plastic pipe 11 with a joint body 1, a pipe end of the plastic pipe 11 is first fitted in an inner side of a presser ring 6 constituted by fitting a C type ring 10 in an annular groove 9 from an end 8 on one side of the presser ring. Next, a tip part of an inner core part 3 is inserted into an inner side of the pipe end of the plastic pipe 11, and a jig is suspended between a collar 2 of the joint body and the end 8 of the presser ring 6 to narrow an interval of the jig gradually and bring one end 7 of the presser ring 6 is brought into contact with the collar part 2 of the joint body 1, thereby completing the connection work. Since this connection member can be handled in the same way as the case where it is constituted by two parts, namely, the joint body 1 and the presser ring 6, its storage and transportation become quite convenient.
