To provide a connecting metal fitting of a handrail and a bracket capable of continuously mounting handrails to the wall surface of stairs and the wall surface of a corridor at a side where the upper end of the stairs is formed to be a projected corner.
The connecting metal fitting is composed of a handrail side connecting member 9 wherein the end of the handrail 1 is fittingly inserted and a bracket side connecting member 10 fittingly fixed to a cylindrical section 7 provided at a handrail supporting bracket, a fitting cylinder 15 storing a hemisphere 13 at the end of the handrail side connecting member 9 and storing a part of the hemisphere 13 in the bracket side connecting member 10 is provided so that both of them can be relatively rotated, and the handrail side connecting member 9 and the bracket side connecting member 10 are connected with a screw 21 so that there can be created an engaged state that the hemisphere 13 and the fitting cylinder 15 are allowed to relatively rotate with each other.
