To provide a connection method of mechanical pipe joint wherein a connection work method for the pipe joint is given which does not require longer time commitment of a crane/skilled workers or the like for the connection work of the large bore mechanical pipe joint and urges a development for related connection components and the like.

In pitches between each of plural bolts 11 for tightening push- rings, a plurality of combination members 22 of identical configuration composing of a coaxial combination push-rings 23 are shaped to coincide with through holes 12 for bolts 11 at the joining faces 7 on both ends, and, on the side face confronting with a mouth 14 of cylindrical section 4 formed at the time of combining the members, a ring groove 25 of concave curved section having an axis 26 of a connection pipe 3 at its center is built on the side facing a cylindrical section 4 of a rubber ring 18 fitted on the connection pipe 3, and a convex ring 20 is set up which fits against the ring groove 25 having the axis 5 of cylindrical section 4 at its center, and the mechanical pipe joint is finally coupled using the coaxial combination members 22 and a coaxial rubber ring 24.
